There are so many different masks on the market and it is important for Masjid trustees and management to understand what type of mask they are purchasing for their employees and Musallis.

Any mask provided for staff, volunteers (including trustees working in a volunteer role) must be a certified Type IIR. These are the masks used by the NHS.

Masks provided or sold to musallis must be a certified Type 2 surgical mask. We strongly advise Masjid Trustees not to purchase any cheap ‘civilian’ or ‘non medical’ masks for their employees or musallis.

There are a lot of cheap Chinese masks available on the market from as little as £0.10 per mask (£5.00 per box of 50). These provide little or no protection and majority of the certification is fake. WE DO NOT SELL ANY CHINESE MASKS. Our masks are sourced from a reputable Turkish PPE manufacturer who have been making masks and PPE equipment for over 20 years. We can verify our mask production all the way to when they were manufactured and provide the relevant certification.
