Hand Sanitisers: Guidance

There are different ways to clean and sanitise hands. Anyone attending the Masjid should be asked to sanitise their hands before entering Masjid. Sanitisation points can be mounted or set up outside the Masjid or inside the entrance area.

Trustees need to decide whether they will invest in an automatic dispenser (can be expensive) or a simple manual system. Dispensing bottles with pumps can be mounted on the wall using simple wall stands or soap/liquid dispensers and can be used. It will be more cost effective to buy bulk 5 little containers and refill the dispensers.

Prices vary for the different types of hand sanitisers. The cheapest option is to buy a liquid based disinfectant but this will not dry out easily. Alcohol based hand sanitisers are very effective but are the most expensive option and can dry out and damage the skin if used repeatedly.

We are a distributor for a UK manufactured alcohol free gel that works really well and is reasonably priced.
